Moving cross country to West Sacramento

Hey guys ive been a nasioc member for a long time and they told me to look over here for the NORCAL group.

My job is moving me from southeastern PA to West Sacramento!

Anyone know of a good place near West Sac to start looking for a house?

Where do all the subies hang out?

Any good shops near-by?

TIA

well the good thing about living in a pile of poop like Sac. is that you can get a house for really good price. just park your car inside

Are you looking to own or rent?

Like above, places like Folsom, Roseville, Rocklin, Citrus Heights, Orangevale are all better areas than W. Sac, but also depending on those areas the price might be higher.
(all above mentioned areas are 15-30mins from Sac)

Thank you for the input I was not very descriptive when i said elk grove, roseville and stuff. I have not lived out there since 05, and I lived in north natomas, but from what I hear even there is no longer really nice.

better than it was two years ago. the banks finally forced out all the ghetto. pre-bubble vs post-bubble, ill take post bubble natomas.

mm... sounds interesting out there.

I am looking to buy a home out there in the 150-200's range.

I believe a Realtor i talked with mentioned citrus heights.
