From the brief searching I did I read somethign about some hardware handshaking going on that if it fails it reboots the connection or some such thing and that is the flicker.
Sounds like HDCP stuff going on to me. I just ordered a new receiver to do the HDMI switching for me. Hope I don't have any problems. **** I hope I get the receiver. I ordered it from a shady online store for cheap.
