I thought you said it was your manager? Usually they already have "experience".

Boy, if you think managers generally have "experience", you've got a lot to learn

But seriously, a lot of companies will hire young inexperienced managers for cheap. Its usually a win-win for everyone. Hire the young inexperienced manager for half of what a real manager costs, and they then get the experience necessary for their resume for a real manager position in a few years.

I know what you're saying, but he made it seem like the guy is there for an internship or a co-op.
