I'll assume you mean the front bumper, and the reason is that if you rear-end someone, then the tow hook will cause significantly more damage than if it wasn't in. You can also cause much more bodily harm.

Besides, do you really like driving around looking like a douche with that thing in?

I was just curious why it said that on there. when I go off roading I put it in at home, drive to the dirt, of road, drive home, take it out

Technically, I think that's illegal. But, you could probably get away with it if you reason to the cops like that.

But, it takes what, 1 minutes to take on and off, counting unbuckling your belt, opening the door, doing your business and getting back in. Might as well just do it when you get to the dirt, rather then risk a ticket.

so I think I'm going to do the s202 interior blackness mod on wednesday. I have a half full can of black primer in my garage from my wanna-be ricer days thats just itching to be used. I'm sure I'll need another can that I'll use half of, and then I'll want to use that on something

oh, and damn rhino lining for not coming in a can. I wanted to rhino line my auxiliary light bar when I finally get it made....looks like I'll black primer that too

Touche, but no. I sit and yell at T campers and shoot them in the head so their screen gets messed up and they have to move.
