You are the one not making any sense....cigaretttes kill you period... crack/cocaine kill you period... if you ride a bike you only die if you crash/get hit, how is that ANY different then driving a car... walking accross the street.... Cigarettes kill hundreds of thousands a year... bikes don't even come CLOSE to that. So yes the fact that you won't ride a bike because you are scared of dieing makes you a *****, because more people die a year in automobiles then bikers...

your accusations comparing riding a bike to cocaine are pretty far fetched dontcha think?

here is something for you...

Number of motorcycle deaths per year, U.S.:

1997—2,116
1998—2,294
1999—2,483
2000—2,897
2001—3,197 (some NHTSA lists show 3,181)
2002—3,244
2003—3,661 (some NHTSA lists show 3,714)
2004—4,008
2005—4,553

Since 1980, motorcycle ownership among riders aged 40 and over has increased dramatically, from 15.1 percent in 1980 to 43.7 percent in 1998. The mean engine displacement of the motorcycles involved in fatal crashes has also increased, from an average engine size of 769cc in 1990, to 959cc in 2001, an increase of 24.7 percent. This combination of older riders on higher-powered motorcycles is partially responsible for a steady increase in motorcycle deaths from the late 1990s until 2004.

Half of motorcycle fatalities in single vehicle crashes relate to problems negotiating a curve prior to a crash—almost 60 percent of motorcyclist fatalities in single vehicle crashes occur at night.
In the US, each year there are about 40,000 deaths per year in automobile
accidents
Airplane deaths a year is "about 200"
Every year, smoking kills more than 276,000 men and 142,000 women.1

that's not counting adults... that's just straight CHILDREN!!!

More kids under the age of 14 go into the hospital each year BY WALKING DOWN THE STREET!!!!! then people riding bikes....

In 2000 there were an estimated 191,000 toy-related injuries treated in the U.S. hospital emergency rooms!

So I guess if you play with toys, you should do cocaine and cut your foot off... since more people get hurt playing with toys then riding motorcycles, but I can see what you mean by riding a motor cycle is as dangerous as doing cocaine or smoking cigarettes

and i'm not trying to say riding a motorcycle is this safe thing, obviously it's better to be in a metal shell when crashing into something... but back on topic, you are gunna regret life when you get older if you live your life going "OMG It's dangerous... i don't wanna do it!!!!"

I just realized something... over half the cars driven on the road today are automatics.... so over half of that 40,000 automotive deaths a year are done by people driving automatics... and tie that into this news article...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15622405/

Driving an automatic is deadilier then driving a manual cohn!!! Quick sell your car and get a manual, you wouldn't wanna take any risks with your life cohn!! after that go get your giant bubble and live in it so nothing happens to you!!!

this should be based on percentage and not on sheer number.

Whoa, you still missed my point though. Just because I don't ride a motorbike doesn't make me any less of a person than you, or Justin, or my brother, or my best friend Pat. And it doesn't make me have less of a life because of it either, if that's how you live your life, then so be it, I wouldn't ever judge you by your choice to ride a motorbike or not. And its not your place, or anyone else's place to judge someone because of that. I just find it fascinating that you like to judge other people on what they do or don't do sometimes, when it clearly is not your place to do so, since its a personal choice (though there is much to factor into that said judgement, i.e if someone were to shoot themselves in the foot on purpose, that is clearly poor judgement). I made my choice when I saw my brother get hit by stupid drivers 4 times, and I doubt I will ever look back on my choice and think myself a ***** because of it, and neither will my brother.

Seems like someone as religious as yourself wouldn't be so antsy when it comes to risky things(which we do things on a daily basis that are riskier then riding a bike)... Death is going to happen no matter how hard you try to avoid it, so why not have as much fun as you can with what you got?
You don't get the point. To get to work there is no other option than to step out the front door, and what's the risk in stepping out your door? As for getting from point A to point B I can choose from a plethora of different vehicles. Some are riskier than others.

Here's how I look at it, if you get rear-ended while on a bike by a car going 40 MPH, you're going to be injured, probably seriously. If you're in a car and get rear-ended by another car going 40 MPH you'll typically be injured, but not seriously. Why take the risk?

If I had a bike, I'd just take it to the track and still get an adrenaline rush. Like I said before, I don't care what other people do, personally I wouldn't buy a bike.
