I realized that some software had been spec'd that was not needed. Basically we are purchasing some stuff that includes some specific software, someone had spec'd out software that duplicated what we already had. I said, we're not using that don't buy it and voila.

The project manager loves me for it and so does my boss so it's all good

Never met her, she's somewhere across the country. Extremely friendly though, and so far (1 week on this project) she seems to be a really good PM, which is awesome.
