Well, fun morning so far. Got up at 5:30 this morning to drive home, because when I tried last night, I got to the Gold Run rest area and found out traffic was backed up to there from Nyack. Chain controls were still up at 7 this morning, so today was teh day I found out that the chains I bought are a little too big for my car. They won't fall off, but at 8 mph they start slinging up and hitting the fenders. Lucky for me, as I was pulling away from the chain control guy, I hear his radio blaring for him to hold all east bound traffic- I was the last one through. So I pulled over as soon as I cleared the first rise, de-chained, and averaged about 45 mph to this side of Truckee. +1 more for the WinterSport M3s! My day was dramatically brightened by passing an H2 with its flashers on going 25 mph at the summit.

I'd bet whatever was left of that drivers ***** shriveled to nothing when he got passed in the snow by a Miata. Bonus points if you had the top down.

Hardtop was on, or I would have had it down.
