DB9 did come to mind but I thought people would laugh if I mentioned those.

I found some nice RJ45 to DB9 connectors for making up cables a couple of years ago. Really quick compared to the old school spool of cable and bag of 99 million crimp connectors and D-shells.

Dude, don't worry about that, there are SO many IT guys on here... although, I'm not one. But I've noticed.
