Good morning all!!
Short week for me, too-- c'mon 4-day weekend. lol
You need to workout more.
Bought a new floor fan for the bedroom. We're set.
Ours wasn't too bad. Usually in the $50-$70 range and it was $102 for June. We were only running the A/C in the afternoon/evening while we were home. Run it all night and shutting it down when we left for work, Kept all the windows and curtains closed, and the house stayed fairly cool throughout the day.

My bill last month was $40... gunna be more this next round for sure. My AC is 15ish years old and not efficient at all.
Open the house at night and put floor fan in the window and leave the back slider open. So im pulling cool air in and pushing the hot out. On a good night, the house will drop to upper 60's and then close the house (windows/curtains) in the morning before I leave. Typically when I get home from work the house will be (depending on how hot it is outside) mid to upper 70s.
Click the AC on Once it hits 78-80 and it will run continuously till i shut it down at night and repeat.
Last night the house only got down to 75 These next handful of days are gunna rack up the bill lol.

your system doesn't shut down once it hits the desired temp? I miss central air, set it to 73/74 in the morning on my way to work and come home to a cool home. My bill was less when i did that compared to coming home and running the unit till it cooled down the house. Where we live now, I have two window units and a portable one in the living room. I have to run all 3 plus 3 ceiling fans plus two large box style fans to keep my home in the mid 70s. 50's/60's era insulation is useless. Cant wait to get my extortion notice from PG&E
