I still have a 14mhz Apple, and a 25mhz Apple Performa that I have sitting on a shelf in the basement. I pulled the 14mhz one out not too long ago, and tried booting it up. STill works, but is slow as hell (obviously). I remember how hot and new that was when I got it. It connected to the *gasp* INTERNET!
i used to go to my dad's boss' house to play junglehunt off a 5.5" floppy on his amiga when i was a kid...come to think of it it may have been even before the amiga...
all i remember was the rainbow "apple" logo on the screen case.
with the good ol green/black screen...mmmm, hawt!
he was hot stuff back then...no one else even OWNED a computer.
ahhh the good ol days!

as unfortunate as it is to hear this being a mac user, part of why macs run faster is the architecture of hardware. i think steve jobs is trying to steal a ton of marketshare from microcrap. if OS X can run on a x86 platform microsoft is in trouble. ill have to talk to my friends at apple and intel, i bet they are hearing more about it than the news lets on.
