I like it. But I want it to be more. I want more connection options. And I don't like how adding a large drive to a stack of similar small drives gives you no addition space until another large drive is added. But I guess if you upgrade in pairs you should be OK. It is really cool.

That is pretty sweet though. How he opened the movie and then pulled out the two drives without interruption.

Makes sense, your data wouldnt be secure if your one large drive was bigger than the 3 others & it made the space available.

Its really not THAT fancy.... its just a hot swappable self repairing array in a cute little standalone box.

I understand why its that way. It's just that if you only watched the demo you wouldn't think that. You have to play with the drobolator to see it.

I totally agree. I would like it to be network attached. They are supposedly working on a firewire version. Me still want one.

True it doesnt mention that... I knew as soon as i watched it wasnt magic, he tries to make it sounds amazing but the smallest drive is still the limitation.

lol

Firewire 400 is 400mbit/sec
USB 2.0 is 480 mbit/sec

I doubt they would use the 1394b for the 800mbit/sec as it would not be backwards compatible with 1394a

+1 for a gigabit interface, and yes, I am getting one.
