Damn, sorry I missed you. I guess Slavic stopped by as well today. The one day that 2 i-clubbers stop by I'm not around.

I actually dont spend alot of time at the shop, I'm usually out working on sales projects or like today working my second job at Lowes in citrus heights.

I called the shop right after that Slavic and told them what you had said, they then said, no we said you werent here today. I told them it doesnt matter just make sure next time your clear in what you say to my friends and customers who come by the shop.

Also we just opened a second location in Fair Oaks and thats where I will be more often than the Rancho location.

Basically a mild degreaser will work to dissolve most of the gunk and grease in the engine bay. Careful not to get anything thats too harsh, like concentrates, we use an organic citrus degreaser that biodegradeable, non toxic, etc, etc for EPA regulkations and it stills seems to cut grease well enought. Give it a thorough coating (dont let it sit for more than 30 seconds or so) then hit it with a pressure washer. The pressure washer is key for this.

The stuff i used to shine everything up is called Stoner (lol) and it is basically a silicon spray.

To shine the stainless steel pieces I removed them applied a compound and buffed them.

You going to the raceway today Larry?

is it safe to just blast anything in the engine bay? I have a fear of doing that.

Not anything, like I said dont use anything thats a concentrate without diluting and make sure to read the label before you use it. Also the most important thing is to not let it sit in your engine bay for too long. spray it on, let it start to dissolve then rinse with a pressure washer to rinse everything away.
