yeah, cause the original series was a paragon of artistry. This is tantamount to drawing boobies on the mona lisa.

Not saying that the original series was a work of art, but at least you could watch it with the family. From what I have heard its nothing by bad jokes you would not want to let you kids hear in the movie

you guys know me, I am not a prude or anything, but I hate it when a move from a good TV show does not do justice to the original series

Already looking out for your little ones, eh?

You can't disgrage something unless it has grace to start out with. I always laughed at the Dukes of Hazard, not with them. I never watched it with my parents, nor do I worry about exposing my kids (if/when they exist) to raunchy material. It was campy, and that made it enjoyable. The "feel" is nothing more then taking an old car and jumping it. And making fun of hicks.

The movie should fall along those same lines, even if the jokes have changed with the times.

I just saw it. i think it's better then the show. i found it quite funny at times and the S-bomb is the only potty word. some street fighting and drug (weed) referances but that's aboot it for the conserned parents out there.
Watch it for the car chases and I must say the car chases are off the hook. mad drifting skills in this flick.

I saw it and well I found it disappointing.
Roscoe wasn't even like the real one.
Boss hog was way off.
Uncle Jessie was no Uncle Jessie.

I mean at least keep the characters the same. Roscoe is supposed to be this bumbling skinny guy who noone really takes seriously but a funny klutz.
The Roscoe in the movie was is serious bad guy who just didn't play the part.
Boss Hog needed to gain about 150 more pounds and loosen up a bit. He was way to serious.
I could go on and on but yea they shouldn't have redone the original.
The car chases on the other hand, awesome.
But I came out saying "wtf"
They didn't even play the Dixie horn when they took jumps (which is the sort of "a given")

But Daisy.. ohhh baby!!!

exactly. The Dixie horn should have been played before or during the jumps.
