Just got my hood popped by roseville PD

last night around 12:30 am

so on my way home from in n out on fairway and pleasant grove i was turning left onto pleasant grove and i saw the cop on the other side of the road. so i knew i should just go slow. i shifted at like 2500 rpm until i was in 4th going like 35 mph and than he pulled me over. i pulled onto highland park. he asked for my drivers license and than i asked why he pulled me over. he said "illegal exhaust" so due to my previous experiences and paul@dbtuned advice i asked him, what is illegal about it? he replied its too loud. so than i say well i can understand that. than i told him i had just received a ticket for the same thing 1 month ago. i pulled out the yellow copy from my wallet and showed him. he took it back to his car and said make sure you get it fixed...i told him i was going to wait until my court date since its my right to fight the ticket. he than said thats fine, can you pop your hood for me. i said sure. he looked inside my hood and asked me what a few tubes were for. i told him it was for my catch can. he asked me about my TMIC and i told him it helps my car run properly with the turbo. he than shined his flashlight on my turbo and was looking at it. so i close the hood and get back in my car and i start eating my in n out. he comes back with my previous ticket and drivers license and says make sure you get that front plate mounted also. i said well theres no holes for it since...well there arent. he said drill some...i was thinking...if i had a corvette or some ritzy car he would have said i see. but ya im really glad i had my old ticket copy with me so i didnt get another ticket.

now my question is...can i get a silencer for my muffler made? i have the tubo xs tbe and i really dont think its louder than some ive heard.

Just do like I did and take your midpipe off but leave the stock muffler.

FYI - when you get pulled over, being a jerk to the cop (IE: asking him to explain absolutely everything and being a smart guy) will get you jacked.

I heard they are REALLY cracking down in elk grove now, im avoiding it like the plague. Funny thing is when i saw the news story all the cars they had pulled over to check for "illegal modifications" were imports even though the cars that wrecked were camaros
