Arrow Job Opening: Membership Analyst I

Benefit and Risk Management Services
Job Title: Membership Analyst I
Department: Information Technology
Location: Rancho Cordova
Reports to: Vice President

Position Summary:
Coordinate the electronic exchange of data between BRMS and various vendors (insurance carriers, payroll vendors, etc.). Serve as support to programming staff, customer support, operations, claims and accounting departments. Conduct various types of analysis including data and structure compliance and workflow/processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Secure, develop and maintain relationships with vendors for the exchange of data.
• Analyze vendor data structure for electronic data exchange.
• Work with programming staff to audit/test data output.
• Perform quality assurance.
• Serve as support to various internal departments as related to vendors and data exchange.
• Set up processes/workflows and develop internal documentation.

Other Responsibilities:
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Experience working in a related Information System field.
• Strong understanding of data layouts from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with internal/external information sources provided in EDI formats.
• Health/Medical insurance carrier experience working within the I.T. department on data files layouts and EDI formats and processes preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to present technical and business information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PGP, WinZip and web browsers.
• Requires a strong understanding of current methods for electronic transmission of data, i.e. email, FTP, BBS, terminal emulation, HyperTerminal, etc.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent and any combination of education, training, and/or experience, which demonstrates ability to perform the duties described.
