JGTC On Speed Today
Any of you watch it today? I did and was sort of dissapointed. Maybe it was the venue but the actual race covergae was not very good. They only mentioned the Cusco Impreza as the only 4 door entry at the end of the race for finishing third and showed a couple 2 second clips during the intros and outros. No scoob love but lots of 350Z and NSX coverage. Oh well, what can you do?
There was a feature where some amateur tuners were able to take a couple hot laps and one of the Speed correspondents took a ride in a sedona red WRX but there wasnt much coverage there. The guy kept asking the driver if he would buy a mustang or cobra if he had more money. WTF?
Hopefully people on the bubble didnt fall off because of the shabby coverage

Yeah, that tool on the coverage needs to get his *** kicked, I hope he never appears on anything motorsports related again...He was talking to some fans about their favorite cars, and after they listed .."GT-R's, STi's, EVO".. hey goes..."How 'bout a hemi-cuda?"...It's really not funny.
Anyway, the coverage was patchy, Not to worry though, we went to the event, and there were a LOT of people there, so I don;t think the popularity was hurt at all.

Anyways, the coverage sucked. There wasn't enough racing. Too much of the idiot being an idiot. Too much stuff that wasn't JGTC.

Is the Speed GT Live segment a new thing they are doing? i dont remember seeing that before. Hopefully that means more GT and especially JGTC coverage.
I don't think that will be a reoccuring segment, I think they just put that together to cover the US Visit of the JGTC. I wouldn't mind a D1 show, it's fun to watch. And Speed would rule if they would recap the JGTC races from Japan, but I don't think it would bump NASCAR nation.
I would have liked it more if it wasn't interspersed with crap every 2 minutes. Its like some ADD afflicted child took over programming and couldn't focus on one aspect of the event for very long.

I guess its better than nothing and I hope JGTC comes back here next year so I can watch it live rather than on the Speed channel.
