I know the subaru community is all Pro V1 but I guess it really depends on who you talk to. There are a lot of sites that love the 8500/RX65 from Escort/BEL

they are all about the same price

the laser jammers only went illegal in the middle of 2005 IIRC. Since they do not use a radio signal, there was a harder time to pass the law since the FCC could not get involved.

There are only 3-4 states that the laser jammers are illegal in

Oh, the V1 was my personal experience, i've had one since i was 17. Its saved me on many looong trips. (from ben lomand to sac, and from colorado to sac, and it met its demise on the Texas to sac trip...soooo sad)

On the plus Side Val industries is going to fix it
