Installed aftermarket seats, airbag light is on, how do i fix?

Hey guys,

So i just threw in some aftermarket racing seats. Since they are aftermarket they obviously dont have airbags in them like the stock STI seats so. So now i have the unpluged airbag cord under my aftermarket seats and the airbag light is on.

My question is how do i fix this? or will it always stay on now?

Thanks

Will

i dont get why people just type that instead of " search resistors".....it's only couple more letters.

Because I forgot the exact resistance needed, and he needs the info more than I do.

No it just trips the sensor. It tricks it. It thinks theres an airbag.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you're modding your car the wrong way.

I mean, you should do research before throwing parts on or removing parts from your car.

Let's suppose that be removing the side impact bags from the circuit would damage the rest of the SRS system, thus preventing the frontal air bags from deploying.

It's far easier to prevent a problem from happening than it is to repair all the damage a problem brings about.

Oh, try Fry's for your resistor needs; Radio Sack Sucks.

That is all.

Yeah paul i know you are right. i just totally didnt even think of the whole airbag thing until after the fact, a stupid mistake on my part yes.

But wait just to make sure, your situation is hypitetical correct? its totally fine to add the resistor right? and the front airbags will still deploy right? not saying i am going to try deploying them anytime soon.
