I'm picking up my new toy this weekend...

I'm sure that a lot of you might say that I'm regressing a bit, but I love these cars... hell, this is my 8th Mustang. Anyways, it's a pretty clean, low mileage '93 hatch with a lot of suspension goodies. Enjoy! I know I will!

Funny. I figured you'd fire off some kind of mullet comment.

I just figured that any domestic might get lumped in there on a Subie site. I apologize for my assumption.

With the stock gearset, a well tuned and slightly modified 5.0 will approach 30 MPG on the freeway. I've done it. The LX's come with a ridiculously tall 2.73 rearend ratio. They actually make reasonable commuters. I used my '87 to go back and forth between Roseville and Davis during college.

LOL. I'm keeping the STi, but I am happy with where the STi is performance wise right now. The TBE and tune have the power at a very satisfying level and the suspension is fully dialed in. It'll really hang the hoops. I was able to run down and hang right with an RC51 on Salmon Falls a couple weeks back.

The Mustang is to satiate my ADD and need to play around with something. For now, it will probably stay mostly as is. Ultimately, if I keep it long enough, it will end up faster than my '92 (and that was a high 11 second car). More than likely this one will end up with a stroker motor and a Procharger LOL.

I would get an older Mustang like that to beat the hell out of it and drag it. My wife HATES mustangs and Camaros so I'm not allowed to get one but she'll let me buy anything else I want.

That's a shame. You're missing out. I actually met my wife cruising my '92 hatch I used to have. She was actually a big proponent for buying this car... that definitely makes it easier LOL.

It's ok, it just gives me an excuse to do a Porsche 914 with a Honda swap or something along those lines. So many projects that I want to do and so little time and money.

So what's the stereotype for late 80's/early 90's Mustang owners?
