Idiots in WRX's...

Sorry, just have to vent a little steam here. Normally Subaru owners are pretty respectable, and aside from the idiot teenagers who get a hold of a fast car and crash it, I'd like to think that the Subaru community has a bit more intelligence than that.

That being said... in the last 2 weeks I've seen 2 Subaru WRX owners (one an 02, the other an 06/07), do some extremely DUMB things that have landed them in jail.

The first was a hit and run, where the WRX owner was doing 50+ in a neighborhood, t-boned a car that was u-turning, and instead of staying... fled the scene. He was driving on a suspended license and suspected DUI.

The second was where a WRX owner was driving drunk, took a corner way too fast and almost wrecked. Cop was at the intersection, and instead of pulling over... he ran. Now in jail for felony evading, DUI, and resisting arrest.

Be careful out there guys.

Well you can't, because it doesn't. Nothing about buying a Subaru, instead of another brand, makes a person less likely to do stupid ****. I'd appreciate it if you didn't consider me part of a group with a bunch of stupid low-life drunk drivers just because I bought a car made by the same enormous international corporation.

Fuji Heavy expects to sell 348,800 cars in the U.S., its largest market, during the current fiscal year. Read more: http://www.autonews.com/article/2012...#ixzz2EyPOy66q
I would even say that Subaru drivers are MORE likely to get in trouble and do stupid **** because it's such a good confidence-inspiring car that you feel like king of the road. Not to mention all the yahoos that buy Subaru because its a "rally car" and then proceed to drive it like they're the Dukes of Hazard.

I think this is just a case of stupid people, not just owning a Subaru.

I have no idea what you're talking about, but that sounds like proper spring-seating procedure.
