I concur on the clutch jobs - never owned an evo myself, but the few dozen that I had worked on, almost all of them had slipping clutches.

The reason I was looking at the MR's was simply because of the six speed, Ive been driving a 5sp all my life and wanna see a little bit of difference there. And I do realize that I will probably replace the clutch.

i like the look of them, its as everyone else is saying, the people i usually see are d-bags, and the interior and clutch's are crap.

I have to ask though: why the MR?
Their 6 speeds are known to be a bit weaker than the 5 speeds and not much other significant changes to justify the price difference (unless you found a good deal)..

Other than that, my buddy has one, and I am amazed at how nice the car is:
QFT. Get a GSR, or RS. 5spd > 6spd in the DSM world.

Yeah the 6spds are crap. I was looking into getting an EVO before I bought my WRX, and I did a lot of internet research on them. Also, I read of a lot of EVO's getting oil starvation due to the oil sloshing around in the oil pans. If I bought an EVO the first thing I would do is get a baffled oil pan.
