So I've been tinkering with Dreamweaver MX, smartftp & filezilla. I practiced making a "under construction" page just to grasp the basic idea of the program.
Then I decided to purchase and nice, simple template for about $20. I downloaded the template into dreamweaver as prescribed in the directions. Once everything had been uploaded from my hardrive to dream weaver, I inputted my FTP info into dream weaver and tried to make things happen from there.
This failed after many attempts. I have no idea what to do now or how in the hell I can customize this piece of **** template once I get it into my server.

Just to give you an idea of where I'm at:

You can see all the template files in green on the left. Now how do I make it all worky?

Yes I am getting an error.
As the 'status' progress bar progresses to 1/4 of the way I get this error:
An FTP error has occurred - cannot make connection to host.
The remote host cannot be found.

It asks for ACCESS, FTP Host, Host directory, Login and PW
Then it has options below which I have the option of checking:
-Use passive FTP *box*
-Use Firewall *box*
-Use secure FTP *box*
-Automatically upload files from server on save *box*
-Enable file check in and check out *box*

Car Info: This aint a bag. It's a shipment.
Usually there is an error in the folder you are trying to connect to. Or your account isn't set up yet.
Did your webhost give you all of the details?
Most of them have tutorials for for configuring various types of software to work with their service.
