Hi all.

I was wondering where I could go to have someone mix me some gun metal wheel paint. I have a Rota SubZero in Royal Gunmetal, and I need to paint the lip so that it'll look like my other regular Gun Metals. I live in Davis. Is there anywhere that I could go to get the paint? Any places you guys could recommend?

TIA.

if you're not opposed to it, duplicolor makes a wheel paint spray can in gunmetal. i bought some and even without clear coat it came out pretty glossy. im happy with the quality of it. a lot of people think they are powdercoated

Cool. Do you know where I can find that?

I called Kragen in Davis, and the closest they had was bronze or was it graphite.

Sunrise Paint up in Rancho (south sunrise, at Mechanical, right next to the Scooby yard) can mix up any color you need and put it in a spray can.... A big bottle of touchup was <$10 for my Rays, and was a perfect match. I think it's another $5 or so to put it in a can, give them a call.

I'll definitely look into that. Thanks.

Just called. $31 for two rattle-cans. Would have to come back and pick it up after ordering it.

They do, but not enough to paint a lip on a wheel.

Places that custom mix and will aerosol it are not that common; there's one in Rancho becuase of all the body shops. Not sure you're going to find anything closer, but c'mon, it's a 20 minute drive.

I drive from Vallejo to Rancho and back every single day, don't be a *****

It's probably knock off touch up paint. It weighs more than the real stuff.

Well. 30 minutes one direction, then 30 minutes back. Then I would also have to go back and pick it up a day later.
