Have a blast at SEMA. Find us some cool stuff for the new cars.

Don't spend all your time and money at Cheetah's and Olympic Gardens!

you dont need the ghey white panel, thats an addition. ECUTek has off the shelf tunes as well... and its available now.

Does anybody have a non-biased comparison of WRX STi engine management solutions? I need the same for exhaust (both TBE and seperate DP and Cat-back).

All I'm finding is individual users that like what they have and haven't tried everything else.

SCC used to be good for things like that when I cared about Hondas.

honestly its going to be difficult to find non-bias opinions on engine management solutions.

as for hardware like TBE and other bolt on items, there is not much of a difference that I have seen that make much more of a difference then another that would make a guide useful

STi's are new enough, and the management systems are new enough (everything had to be rethought with drive-by-wire) that there haven't been a whole lot of people who have gone through multiple systems like we had with WRX's. You're talking a lot of cash for someone to have gone through multiple exhausts and management solutions, and people do tend to rationalize what they have at the time becuase it is such a large financial investment that they want to feel confident in their choices.

I understand what you're looking for, but because the AP isn't out yet, the ECUtek for the DBW's is new, and the other options are piggybacks with somewhat questionable histories on WRX's, there isn't a lot of data on the management side. There are a large number of people in the Sac area with reflashes, and not because we're bullies about it; Nate's tuned Utecs, has a Haltech in the race car, has played with Links, etc; we can get Cobb AP's if it's what you'd like.

In terms of exhausts, it's so down to personal preference in terms of sound that objective data is hard to come by.

To be totally honest, give Nate a call next week when we're back from SEMA (or now, before we leave). He's not going to sell you a line about what's best, as we'll put on whatever you want; we've done a number of different STi exhausts so far and Nate will be able to work with you to get what you're looking for.
