I'm actually more productive with vista.
Search is faster. Start menu works way better. I don't have any problem with memory exploits thanks to the ASLR.
Games run great on it. Readyboost is there if I need it. Looks purty to.

Sure it uses more resources but we cried that same story when XP came out. Everyone had 32-64MB of RAM w/ Win98 and *****ed when they needed more RAM.

I don't care for the tool bar of IE7. IE8 should fix that.

Get nothing less than 2 GB of RAM. If your gonna overclock then keep that in mind when getting the RAM. mid level is usually good enough.

Don't skimp on the PSU.

Then load it with Vista to **** Furley off.

I need to check my framerates on TF2 to see what I'm getting with my rig.

E6600 Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
2GB RAM
ATI X1950XT 512 RAM
64bit Vista
Abit AW9D-MAX mobo
standard timings (very slight overclock as default for this mobo)
How exactly do you go about that part? I've had no success finding out what resolutions are supported for a card when shopping.

Ehhh as long as you stay away from the used car salesmen you'll be fine. Some jerkoff russian tried to hella argue with me that he needed to write up my sale so he'd get credit and he was just being a completely rude asshat about it basically snatching the product out of my hands. Basically told him to **** off and left.

I've always noticed something though. The people that work there are generally asian, indian, and russian lol.

1. Let them write it up. Don't give the paperwork to the cashier.
2. If he wants the credit so bad have him adjust the price down.
3. Refuse to let him write it up then find another associate to write it up while the first guy watches.

That doesn't guarantee it supports the 1440x1050 that two of our widescreens use. Or does it?

Eh he was being a ***** and was hassling me about it. If he was polite and asked I wouldn't have cared. Its not like the item was required to be written up so I could pick it up at the counter it was just an item on the shelf.

time for an effing siesta *****es
