I got off hwy 50 at 26th st, and droped it down a gear to make the light. There was an unmarked CHP car in the intercection. I thaught that I was going to get my a$$ handed to me with all the talk of the "import crack down". I've got tinted fronts, no front plate, and I'm missing a few cats. Plus I was speeding, failed to stop for a red light, and didn't have a current proof of insurance. Lucky for me the CHP had a cerimony to be at. Anyone else out there have any close calls?

 

Dude you have a wagon he probably didn't even see you. He was like "did somebody just run that light? Hey there's a lowered Civic right there *lights on"

 

Holy crap, you are one lucky puppy. But for future reference, the story would have been better if you were drifting, on crack, shooting an assult weapon with a high-capacity magazine out the window at whales, while dragging a baby tied to your bumper.

O it's current. The funny thing is I'm an Insurance Agent. I changed companies to get a better price and never changed them out... Or I might have just been too nervous and couldn't find the right one.

what "import" crack down??? i only know of a modified car crackdown, but that definatly doesnt exclude domestics.

 

I've been seeing 2-3 cars pulled over a day on I-80 and cap city... so ya, definatly alot of CHP activity.

 

I had a close call on westbound 50 right before stockton. A biker chp pulled right up on my but in the lane next to me and leaned over to try and listen to my helix catback. He then checked my rear plate and then he slowly pulled next to me to check my tint. While I just kept singing as if I didnt notice him. He looked rite at me with his pretty glare. Then he pulled to my front and looked back at my front plate. He was dying to pull me over. I have a class B liscence and tickets are non negotionable. I cant even take drivers training for a ticket 5 miles over the limit. I was crappin in my pants!! luckly he didnt notice my cracked winshield and just drove off. I'm scared to drive down town now. I don't know I guess you pay to play.

 

haha, if that was me, I would've crapped my pants! It's worse when you have to just sit there, waiting to be pulled over!

i have had a few patrol cars tail me over the past couple months...
ride right up on me then back off...
i couldn't figure out why, until o walked out to my car last thursday and realized i never put on my new tags in JANUARY! oops.
they've been hanging out on the reg card in the glovebox since December and i just kinda forgot about them.
luckily i never got pulled over for it.


on another close call, i was driving the wife's car lastnight and some moron turning left in a parking lot pulls out as i'm passing him. he never even looked right to see if i was coming.
i actually had to hit the gas to prevent being hit. i was watching down the side of the car in the rearview and even I am not sure how he kept his beatup toyota bumper from carving the whole rear quarter of her car.

One time I my girlfriend and I were sitting at a red light when a sheriff cars pulls up. My girl friend smiled and waved to him, and when the light turned green, he pulled me over! Stupid womenz!
