I've been on ebay for over 5 years. It used to be a civilized place to get rid of your junk.
I just recently sold 30+ items after a long break of not selling anything.
Now I've got two jackasses complaining because they can't read a ****ing listing.
-----------------------------------------------------------
them - "Oh, oh, I bought your item, but it doesn't fit my phone. I thought it said it would work with my phone. Did you send the wrong one?"
me - NO. You are an idiot that can't read. I stated in
BIG RED BOLD LETTERS
that it was for an ANCIENT LG phone and that I have no idea if it will work on anything other than the specific model I mentioned.
them - "Okay, but can you do anything for me?"
me - yes. I can send you a letter bomb and then come over and **** you charred skull.
-----------------------------------------------
them#2 - "I bought your item that weighs 20lbs. and cost a billion dollars to ship. I want to send it back to you and have you refund me the auction price and any additional shipping costs...
...even though you stated
CLEARLY IN BIG RED BOLD LETTERS
in the auction that it has been sitting in a box for over 2 years and could very well not work at all because the last time you used it, it was not working correctly. You even stated that you have no way to test it. If you don't give me a refund, I will give you negative feedback even though you have been on ebay for over 5 years with a 100% rating and have never had a problem with anyone EVER not being able to read EVER before."
me - wtf.
gah, it's not even worth it. I should have just thrown this stuff away. btw, both of these things were less than $20 items, and one of them cost me $15 OVER what they payed for shipping for me to ship.

My solutions:
1. Ignore them and let them give you the feedback..big deal
2. they want a solution from you? Tell them to get ****ed
3. Tell those blind ignorant ****tards to enroll in a reading comprehension class because you gave the information about the specific items being sold and what it can do/work with and it's their problem they can't do a little ****ing research.
4. tell them to stop being a biggity ***** about shipping costs when they knew wtf they were getting into. I personally got into a huge argument about this with a buyer recently and told him to get ****ed because it was a big heavy item and I told him the costs and he STILL paid me.
I totally understand where you're comming from and I have to deal with these sorts of people on a day to day basis and if I met any of these folks I'd love to drop kick them in the throat because I have no god damn ****ing sympathy for stupid people

i bought some motorcycle riding boots form a lady on eBay who said they'd never been ridden in and were just a little worn from walking. i get them and the toes are all scuffed from asphalt, the leather was gouged and scraped (she had to have blurred the photos to hide the scuffs), the soles were worn at an angle from dragging on the ground coming to a stop, etc.
then to make it worse, there was still grass stuck in the soles from wearing around, there was oil stains (that she didn't picture) and the insoles and insides were COVERED in dog/cat hair.
oh and she took over a month to ship, never replied to emails and never sent a tracking #.
i left neutral feedback, cus i got a good deal and did in fact receive the boots but her service sucked...in return she leaves me a nasty worded non-positive feedback (the only non-positive feedback I have since Sept 1999 when I started my eBay account).
i paid the moment the auction closed and I had a total via Paypal.
i later looked at her feedback profile and saw she had a history of leaving retaliatory feedback for poor service, wrong descriptions and broken products.
I also replied to her feedback stating it was retaliatory feedback for my feedback on her poor service.
her user account was closed shortly after that after multiple neg feedback dropped her score to like 85%.
unfortunately, she probably just started a new account and is continuing to do the same thing to others.
since then, i look at sellers feedback and the tab that says "Left for Others" to see what kind of seller they are.
i am pretty selective on what auctions I bid on, mainly dependent on the sellers history and other auctions listed.
sucks that they're being pissy about it, but you can always reply to their feedback or dispute it in the dispute resolution center on eBay.
