I feel sick to my stomach

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20051110...t_051110150445

This makes me almost as sick about professional athletes whining about their saleries.

23.8 million dollars

Sotheby's is one of the more well-known auction houses in NYC, but I agree more than double the estimated price, that's nuts.

What's it made out of? Solid gold? I can't believe the monetary value people put on crap.

On another note, I wonder what that sculpture represents?

That reminds me of T-Will's mom after she paid me to rail her with the refrigerator...

I like classic art.....you know, where you can appreciate the intent without have the artist there to explain his "vision."

yep...like ansel adams...love his work...
even people like MC Esher and Dali...you could at least tell what was going on...

now days you just take a 14' x 20' canvas and paint it black and call it "moods of my childhood" and get it into an exhibit.

wife & i went to SFMOMA and there was this 20' x 20' wall filled with a grid of small 6"x6" photos of this woman french kissing her cat....not a lesbian way, but an actual feline animal, all different angle and shots...bout made me sick.
