If it is a DELL you may have to turn off all of their "2Wire" built in crap. It overrides normal wireless wizards from within XP. Or learn how to use the 2Wire crap (I never did figure it out)...

Mornin!

exatly...and really...are we considered a 1st world country? cus i've never heard the US or any other country refered to as such...

i think 3rd world just helps keep those contries self esteme low...keeping them from rising up and taking France by storm.

The first and second world are industrialized capitalism/democracy and industrialized communism. Which is one, and which is two, well, that depends on where you live. Underdeveloped countries are considered third world.

since communism has mostly dropped off the face of the earth as a superpower, its really 1st world and 3rd world countries now... although, China is getting pretty powerful lately...

yeah i know the hierarchy, my point was, you never hear people saying "England is a 1st world country" or "that 1st world country is..." etc...
the only commonly used term is 3rd world...and i find it just kinda odd...
it's prolly cus most 3rd world countries are not well known or have hard to pronounce names making them blend somewhat into this generalization...

anyway...it's no big deal, was just useless chatter anyway...welcome to SRIC.

If you read enough history books, you'll hear a lot of countries being refered to as 1st or 2nd world, depending on the author.
