I like the ability to record what I miss when I'm at work though, and then burn it on a dvd if wanted. I've always found downloaded stuff to be hit or miss quality wise

I'm thinking the Xbox360 as a Media Extender is the way to go (watch downloaded movies, recorded/downloaded TV, music, pictures from your PC on the TV). I wish Xbox360 would drop in price again soon.
