That's a totally different story. A normal person's caffeine intake is something that would not effect me. 11 shots of espresso, that's just suicide.

I love it. I'd eat there everyday if I could. It's all about that mizithra with browned butter and clam sauce.

what the ****... ummm that doesnt sound "normal" or anywhere near good or ok for you

Caffeine Amounts for Healthy Adults

AdvertisementFor healthy adults with no medical issues, it is generally agreed upon that 300mg-400mg of caffeine can be consumed daily without any adverse effects.¹

This is equivalent to about:

5.2 Shots of espresso
Two 5 Hour Energy Shots
1 Starbucks Venti brewed coffee
2.5 16 fl.oz. Monster Energy Drinks
5 8 fl.oz. Red Bulls
11.7 12 fl.oz. Cokes

I think that quoted amount is the general 'this is how much you can take before you should start to worry'.

Realistically a good amount to intake is much less then that.

I think the important words are "can be." Meaning that's where caffeine intake has the potential to become dangerous.

Also red bull and coke don't really have that much caffeine in them. Based upon my normal intake I'm usually about 130mg max a day. That assumes one Kickstart and a soda.

Well, 5.2 shots of espresso is only about 2-3 cups of coffee. Most people I work with knock that out before lunch where they then go and have 2-3 12 oz sodas, another 2-3 cups of coffee after lunch, and more soda at dinner.

Aside from my pre-workout which has about a 200 mg of caffeine, I generally don't have any other caffeine on any given day.

Like 1 or 2 energy drinks or taking caffeine pills.

I've tried a 5 hour energy before and I fell asleep right after having to drive from Sac to SF airport.
