Stock RS wheels weigh 16 pounds. Ignore tire weights- they're totally irrelevant because shopping tires based on weight is silly. So to answer your question, about 9-10 pounds. You will definitely notice the difference, especially if the tires come out slightly taller than stock.

 

ok, one of the threads that I was reading in the tire tech area, was saying it was imperative to shop tire weights, because you could have light weight wheels and then just kill it by putting boat anchor tires on. :-P
lol, ok, I will keep my search narrowed to weight of wheel.

 

The thing is, wheel weights vary almost directly with sidewall stiffness- I'll sacrifice a pound or two of weight to get RT615/S03/RE070 sidewall stiffness.

For some reason, everyone at my office notices my new advans, but did they notice my volks??? nooooooo. These 17x8.5" rims are killer, and the bfgoodrich gforce sports are great at 245/40, of all the wheel/tire combo's I've had on any of my cars, this one absolutly feels the bestest

EpsilonK: FYI, I've found for the cost of a new set of ADR's, you can get a used set of gram lights, volks, ssr's. My volk's with tires (and 90% tread) cost me the same amount as a new set of rota's with new tires. Though it is hard to find a set you like, you will end up with a higher quality wheel set.
