Yeah when I used to work at Comp USA I learned pretty quickly how important it was to have data backups. I also taught a crash course in why backups were important:

Did you try the freezer method? Wrap up your drive in a bag or something to keep the moisture out, then throw the drive in the freezer for a few hours. Immediately after you take the drive out of the freezer plug it in and try to pull as much data off as possible. After the water starts condensing then the drive is hosed, so it's basically a last-ditch effort, but it's worked for me in the past.

Yeah, but once I got windows on, I could actually install applications on to my pc

and this is my first post from the new rig. It's running mighty fine if I do say so myself.
