Studies have shown that cats are more accurate at landing on their feet the higher they get, up to 9 stories.

a cat will more then likely die if you drop it from less then a 4 story drop

a cat will live if you drop it from more then a 9 story fall (till how far up?) as it will spread itself out and act like a parachute to slow down his freefall

The study I read said that a cat jumping from 2 stories is not as likely to land on its feet as a cat that jumps from say 6 stories.

Yeah, something about having more time to get in the right position to land on their feet.
