There is a lot of stuff I don't want to see in the daily thread and I know that risk when I click on the thread. Deal with it...

Stop being a dick Dan. You know you're only posting spoilers because it pisses people off. You do realize that what you are doing makes you a troll, right? do we really need to go down this road again?

You posting period pisses me off sometimes, so that makes you a troll also doesn't it?

Look, there is a lot of crap that goes on in the daily thread. From pix that are NSFW to people being a dick. I don't see an issue with my post, in fact I bet there are some people that think it is just as funny as I do. Hell all of you can feel free to post race results for events where drivers turn left and right - I watch them all. You can also post NHL scores as I care about that as well.

I can not and will not complain about that.

This is not a discussion dan. You can choose to stop posting World cup spoilers in the daily thread or your posts will be removed.

On what grounds?

I am passing on current events info to the masses. That hardly counts as an infraction of the rules. If I hear about a terror attack or any other "current event" should I refrain from posting that as well so that you can wait to see it on the news when you get home?

There is a World Cup thread. World Cup related posts belong there, just as tech related posts belong in tech related threads and NWS posts belong in NWS-headed threads.

I had almost come to believe you could be respectful of other people without being forced to.

I thought the entire purpose of the daily thread was the goings on of that day? Aren't these scores current daily goings on?

You are kidding, right?

How is posting scores disrespectful? If anything it is informative.

The daily thread exists as an excuse to postwhore. Otherwise, why woul there be such threads as lunch meets and install fests?

And you know perfectly well you aren't being "informative" since you could easily be "informing" people of World Cup scores in that specific thread, and sparing the people reading the daily thread (like yourself, supposedly) who don't give a crap about soccer.

You deleted my posts before that "other" thread even existed. I smply replaced what was wrongfully taken from me in the first place.

So can you honestly say you have never made a post that you knew, or even thought would upset someone that may happen to read it?

I didn't delete any posts until after I had asked you politley not to post spoilers in this thread. You refused to do so, so they were removed.

No Dan, I can honestly say I don't make a habit out of posting things strictly for the purpose of antagonizing other members. Except for you of course, because I know how much you love being asked to follow the rules.

Hey Kevin, did you screw someting up? That thread is gone now, and I tried to play by your made up rules and post there instead of here. What gives? Make rules and then make it impossible to follow them...
