It takes work on your part. I've only been here for a few months. my first meet I had no idea what was going on. Lucky for me i found out a few of the guys had military history like myself and it gave me conversations to bring up. then i found a someone that wanted to do a trunk swap. a couple weeks later i met up at his place and i got me a spoiler. sure there were a good portions of my first couple meets where i just stood there and watched the conversations take place. but i wanted to be in the club. that meant learning peoples names. and showing up at the random get togethers. We're all new to the club at some point. and Subaru or other wise. we all seam to be car guys.

like anything else in life you're only gonna get out of it what you put in.

agreed.

I go to shoot the **** with the kids. I really don't care what car you drive as long as you're cool with the rest of us, then it's all good.

What the hell is this "bugeyes go away"
please.

I am amused by the fact that most of RS25.com's membership, at this time, acquired their RS after the release of the WRX, and aren't the original owners...

We still have people that are between Imprezas or just plain not driving them anymore on here and I suppose at the meets sometime. I plan on remaining here between the bugeye and the STi and that should be a few months at least.

When I first came into this forum and out to the meets I felt a bit like an outsider but it was all me, I am just that way around people. Eventually I got to know Aaron a bit, then I went racing with Egan and Lance so I don't feel super awkward anymore, even though I am!

SRIC has a quota system. We just don't talk about it. We need:

2 more brown guys
3 brown girls
2 more guys with shaved heads, any color
1 white guy who stands under 5 ft 2 inches

The meet's never been a super-structured thing, people come in late, leave early, stay for dinner, go out with friends, go play golf, come back and watch movies, chill in the parking lot and BS, etc. We never try to ditch anybody, we've just never made a point of trying to force everyone into a scheduled solid thing, so it doesn't necessarily occur to us.

Anybody, and everybody, is always welcome at our meets, we welcome new blood, and that's how we all started, we all met through the club and at meets.

Our intent is never to come off as aloof, we just all BS constantly
Walk up, chill, conversate, check out cars, whatever.

Heh, Brian is a wierd cat when it comes to Imprezas and meets. Honestly I don't see what the big deal is, a Subaru is a Subaru, and who really cares what you drive to a karting place, or any meet in general? I tend to pay less attention when he starts to rant

Meh... i-clubbers suck just as much as NASIOCers. Everyone knows it's SECCS for teh win!

Hey Aaron... any chance my car'll be ready by Tuesday? Then I can come down to pick it up and stay for the meet... assuming I can find a ride to Sac from one of those loser SECCS guys.
