were the tires filled with nitrogen? i've heard that can cause all kinds of craziness.





seriously though, that sucks and i'm glad to hear nobody was hurt. hopefully you'll get to find out what caused it.

I talked to the body shop and the damage total is up around $3,800 and the hood has yet to be opened. They do not expect the cost to go up much higher than that based on what they are seeing. The big concern at this point is the damage, if any that was done to the wire harness.

State Farm placed the value of the tire at $109, of which they will pay 80%. When it is all said and done, we will pay our $250 deductible and for 3.2 tires of a brand other than Firestone/Bridgestone.

Never going to happen. I had a hard enough time convincing her to get the car that had the upgraded stock wheels. She liked the one with hubcaps and unpainted door handles...
