Yup with compressed air. GT3 and San Andread both load right away - I am guessing I got a bad disc...

GT4 is dual layer, it throws alot of old systems off.

Did they ever build a good PS2 platform? DVDs burned out the laser on the earlier models and now similar models can't handle a game it was designed for?

Sounds like a pretty good scam for Sony.

I'm sure the 'dual-layering' is for graphic purposes but i'm sure it's no coincidence it just so happened to be on one of the most anticipated games in gaming history.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I think my logic is *** backwards. Don't platforms cost more to build than what they're sold for? If that's the case then it's ****-poor planning and luck for Sony.

Then they should develop a completely new platform instead of making them thinner and such. Bemani may now the major difference from the earlier boxes and the ones they currently sell. But I wouldn't have any idea as a regular consumer. All I know is that the box I bought in 2000 had the same logo on it as my current box. I dunno... I guess all that matters to me is that I should be expecting GT4 to arrive tommorow as I ordered it online with old gift cards a few months ago.
