Hey newyorkreload, it looks like we're the only ones interested in Futurama. Guess that's why the TV show got cancelled...

Actually, I enjoyed the show too. Not enough to buy the DVD's but I often wonder why it got cancelled. It was just a fluke. Maybe it wasn't the right time to initially air the show? If King of the Hill can be successful then Futurama should have been Matt Groening's next meal ticket by a long shot.

eeek old people like K.O.T.H. I find the show to be too slow most of the time. My parents like it. Hanks friends can be entertaining at times though.

I kinda like King of the Hill. Its slower humor, but its pretty funny if you have the attention span. I don't have enough of an attention span, though, to buy the DVDs.

As for Futurama, I need to pick those up. The show is one of my favorites right now. I'm glad a new direct to DVD movie is coming out.

I've got all the Futurama DVDs... it's an awesome show! I never understood why the cartoon that's twice as good as the Simpson's got canned while Homer and Bart are allowed to continue their descent into mediocracy.

...really, when was the last time a Simpson's episode was so funny you missed jokes because you were already laughing so hard? Season 3, maybe 4? What season are they on now? like 16 or so?

I'd really like to see Cartoon Network pick up the series for new episodes or something.
