Rebuilding, with a revalved body and higher line pressure to make it pop a little bit.
Don't have the money. or the time, really, for a 5mt swap, plus if my plans for the wagon come to fruition, I'll have an entire donor car anyways and will do the tranny at that same time.

Aaron, are you having this work done at S^2 / Subaru Specialists? can you pm me an approx price on that if you don't want to post it? I'm interested in teh valve body and line pressure upgrades, and would appreciate it if you could post an update on how it works out when it's done.

The core tranny we were rebuilding had a crack int he case (found out yesterday afternoon) we have to rebuild mine now. No big deal, few more days, should be good to go after we get back from SEMA with a dope motor and a dope tranny

Eh, no reason to get upset. Stuff happens, you roll with it, everytihng works out. Car has been dead-nuts reliable with only one or two hiccups in 175000 miles, I can handle a month of downtime to get it in better shape than new, drivetrain-wise
