Fry-diggity's
I went in to Fry's to find a DVD player that will play "archived" DVD's and noticed they had a SHLOAD of those 900 degree racing wheels for the PS2 if anyone was interested. They also had the little racing seat with places to mount the pedals and steering wheel. TITE!
P.S. I ended up buying a DVD player off the bargain table with no remote, (because I gots the harmony remote!) and the damn thing didn't work. Thank you come again my ***!

I am trying to fight off the urge to buy the racing seat rig though - it is awesome but it also costs $300.

Loosely translated: I'm buying it on the way home from work tonight, but haven't figured out how to sneak it past Marie.

Yeah. Have you actually sat in the seat? Looks kinda janky for a big guy like you or me. I'm more inclined to get a normal cheap racing seat, like the ones we have at the shop, and build a wood/metal frame.
I did not think it was that bad when I sat in it. But I would be concerned about how long it would last given the quality of the workmanship and all. It looked like something Shivnu would buy in Korea, slap their name on and sell for 200 times the price they paid...

I just went to Fry's and sat in one and it is the biggest POS for that price. The stalk the wheel is on moves all over the place - if they had made the base at the front larger and more stable it would probably be OK. If the stalk was more stable and the rig cost 175 or less I might think about buying it. At $300 it better come with at least one hot umbrella girl that I am allowed to do with as I wish...
