Got a huge crack in my windshield yesterday driving home from work......a big rig kicked up a rock and left my windshield with a 6-7 inch crack now....

Man that's terrible.

I've had that happen with my wrx but luckily it was just a pit that I was able to repair with one of those HF windshield repair kits.

Ive done that like 3 times in the last 10 years. Once even got all the side windows replaced with the windshield.

Nice! Yeah, I'm going to have insurance take care of it. Going to have my front windshield re-tinted before install.

How so? I wouldn't be the one doing it as it would be done at a tinting shop.

for 1 you'd have to sit/lay the glass in a way that he can apply heat and pressure to all parts of it without cracking it.
for 2 if they cover too much of it, the silicone will adhere to the tint and not the glass which is a huge safety issue


have you ever seen anyone tint a windshield off the car? I haven't
