we made it!

GRAPHIC/GORE/WEIRD STUFF WARNING

class was a bit weird tonight. we were givin 2 pictures of a "crime scene". one picture was of a room with a dead body in it, and the other was a close up of the torso and head of said dead body. we were instructed to formulate a hypothesis of what happened. i dont really want to go into too much detail of the pics, but it was a dead dude, in his underwear, layin up against a wall on a bed. half of his face was missing, and his left armpit was missing its skin. he had maggots growing in his ears, lower face (which was mostly missing and had sunken into his chest) and the skinless arm pit. the legs from the knees down were swollen and black due to the blood pooling down there. my guess was an OD and possible suicide and had been deseased for about 1-2 weeks prior to being discovered, i didnt think it was a homocide because there was no sign of struggle or blood. i was wrong. it was death by natural causes and had been 4 days. its amazing how much a body can decay in 4 days next week we get to do the same thing with a homocide scene.

should i be disturbed by this kinda stuff??? i had no problem eating a ham sandwich while doing the analysis tonight.....

My father in law is a homicide investigator. His pc has worse than that.

From what he says the visuals you get used to, it's the smell that makes it so bad. (I guess time is the factor on that one)

yeah..... my teacher is the CSI supervisor for Roseville PD, so hes got a lot of "good" stuff. there is one scene he showed us that got to me a little. it was a lady who cut her own head off by taking one of these:



and duct taping bricks to the top of it, and you can guess the rest......

 

With a pulley or something? I dunno if I buy that. Most people who commit suicide are attention ******(take a bottle of pills and end up puking for a couple hours with a saline I.V. ) or really want to get the job done and just end up hanging from a light fixture.

 

whats to buy into? i saw the crime scene photos of it. trust me it was legit, but the saw didnt make it all the way through.
