This is the reason why I am using a Samsung SSD now since the Kingston one I originally bought for my build died within 3 years.
You should just check slickdeals from now until Jan and you are bound to find a 500gb Samsung SSD for $150 which is one of, if not the best deal you can get when it comes to storage right now.

SSDs are a little bit more tricky than conventional HDs. You seriously need to take the time to look into each make and model you might be considering on buying cause the last thing you need is a drive that will fail on you.
This is the reason why I am using a Samsung SSD now since the Kingston one I originally bought for my build died within 3 years.
You should just check slickdeals from now until Jan and you are bound to find a 500gb Samsung SSD for $150 which is one of, if not the best deal you can get when it comes to storage right now.
