Starting right now on Speed channel.

Michelin is giving refunds to 20,000 people for next years Indy GP.

how exactly are they refunding 20,000 tickets for next year's race . . . that haven't been sold yet?

Michelin has already paid for the 20,000 tickets and will give them to the people who were at this years race. If they contact Michelin in S. Carolina or Indy Speedway (and they show proof of purchase) they will be given tickets for next year.

Michelin is even planning a non-championship race in October.

well good to see that it wasn't the end of F1 in the US, I still don't like Michelin though.

the way i heard it was michelin offered to refund every ticket sold for this years race as well as purchasing 20,000 advance tickets for next year to be given away as promotional gifts for customers.

There's not going to be an Indy GP next year. If IMS agree to another GP they might as well ask Max and Bernie to kick them in the nuts while they're at it. Have some backbone and say no. Can't let the French diss US like that.

And damn I hate Renault. They think their cars are too good for US or something.

eh? what's your problem with renault? where are you coming up with "there's not going to be an indy gp?"
