Freaky Plane in Lodi
Mystery Plane Puzzles Lodi Residents
Residents Say Plane Circles City For Hours At A Time

UPDATED: 11:28 am PDT July 1, 2005
LODI, Calif. -- Lodi residents are asking questions about a mysterious airplane that they say has been circling the city.
The residents describe the plane as white with a blue stripe on the side, and said is circles the city for hours at a time, day and night.
The local newspaper obtained a photo of the plane -- a Cessna 182.
Police said they have no information about the aircraft and the FBI has not commented.
But many residents said they wonder if the flights are connected to the FBI's investigation into a suspected terrorist cell in the area. Others speculate it could be some sort of electronic surveillance.
The number on plane can be traced to a company in Delaware, but it only lists a post office box as its address.

one time we had a helicopter going over the area for hours. I thought it had something to do with Fort Ord, even though thats been closed for a while. Turned out they were looking for two "kidnapped" girls. Found that out when the military cops came knocking on our door at 2 AM!!! At 2 AM they had been missing for 10 hours, they got some really special treatment, turned out they ran away and were hiding from the helicopter. Makes me sick that they got such special treatment, while most people have to wait 24 hours to file a missing persons report, and even then, the cops usually dont do crap

Speaking of small planes.... There's a small airport in elk grove. The city wants to revoke it's rights effectivly shutting it down. Then they can rezone the area around the flight path. I kinda like the idea of being able to fly a plane if I want to.
Oh ya... elk grove was the 2nd fastest growing city in the country last year.
