replace the touchscreen portion..aka "digitizer" with a new one (is your unit touchscreen?)

that's unless the plasticx doesn't work. google it up. LCD screen scratch removal .

does your unit have a plastic feel over the LCD? or is it glass like an iphone lets say?

It feels like there's a plastic feel on it. I left plastic x on it and nothing.

what model is it? if you are really upset about i'm pretty sure they have replacement touchscreen overlays for it. you would unfortunately have to take apart the whole unit to replace the screen.
i do all kinds of electronics repair work; if you aren't feeling up for the job and you really want it done i could take a look at it for you

this is the part you would need

most tricks don't actually work for these "resistive" touchscreens. problem is with the plastic that's over the glass. it tends to scratch real easy; it's flimsy and ESD kills it really easily. that's why portable device manufacturers made the switch to capacitive digitizers (glass only, no plastic BS over the glass)

it all depends on your skills with fixing stuff like this.

i'm biased because i've been doing electronics work for a long time so for me it would be easy.

so i'd say it's easy if you get stuck just message me and i'll help ya out
