But yeah, it's a totally different car/feeling/experience. To say one is better than the other is unfair. My personal favorite thing about my vettes was brutal torque everywhere. You can lug it at 2k rpm and it still thrusts like a freight train. You don't "wait" for anything. biggest letdown on both my mustang and vettes was not really being able to wring it out basically anywhere. just as you're finding traction you gotta let off for fear of going to jail or killing someone. with the Subaru with the short gears and midrange torque, you can wring out 1-3rd whenever you want, I like that

I bolded the part of your quote that echoes my sentiments EXACTLY! Cars have become so powerful and capable, and traffic congestion is so bad that these cars aren't really that enjoyable anywhere but a track or on your tire screeching, smoke bellowing, engine roaring way to jail.

When I tell my Vette buddies this, they think I've taken leave of my senses, however when I tell you guys you nod knowingly and give me the below the belt secret Subaru turbo diddle "hand" shake. ;-p

I'm working from home and my next level ADD in conjunction with Cisco collaboration tools lets me have 62.37 browser tabs and Outlook messages open and conduct 3 conversations at once (albeit at a terribly low performing level). Ain't technology grand? LOL

Tempting offer! On a related note, did you know that if you have emergent sickle cell dyslexia you can mistakenly read "RHD wagon" as "HRD wagon" which in turn sounds like "Hard wagon" which conjures up graphic imagery of a salacious nature?
