That happened to one of my autox buddies recently. His MR2 was stolen and when it was recovered it was sitting on the rotors .

I've worked in East Oakland for over three years and have seen plenty of abandoned/stripped out cars. But at least the thugs are courteous enough to leave the car on blocks.
