so last week we had the fun topic of abortion during one of the daily threads. i got a little bent out of shape about gloating and celebrating it.
well...
let me tell you a little story about my last two weeks. my wife started getting this bad feeling about her pregnancy, just something in the back of her mind telling her things weren't going as planned. we'd discussed it a few times and i was a bit concerned. this is the reason i was hyper-sensitive to the issue last week.
so yesterday confirmed our worst fears, we go in for our ultrasound and what was once a healthy fetus was now gone. completely, utterly, gone. so friday we go in for a "blend and vac" as it was so eloquently referred to so we can be done with the whole ordeal. we're now 100% without "tadpole".
why on earth am i sharing this here? because, sometimes **** gets out of hand on here. i know this is the internets, and it's serious business here. but as a general rule, if a comment would otherwise be deemed socially unacceptable in real life, perhaps people should self edit before putting hands to keyboard.

she's doing ok and i'm doing ok. believe it or not, there is a silver lining to all this. our first kid took a bit of medical intervention to have, and this was a surprise, so all in all it's not horrible.
